Fall Storytime in the Gardens
Tuesday, September 9: Crickets and Grasshoppers Join us for a hopping good time, as we read about crickets and grasshoppers. We’ll also check out the meadow in search of these fun, lively insects.
Wednesday, September 24: Yellow like the Sun Fall is a great time to appreciate the color yellow. From flowers and leaves to pretty birds and bees, yellow is everywhere! Come read about this beautiful color in nature.
Tuesday, October 14: Terrific Trees The landscape is ablaze with fiery colors as the leaves turn to gold, orange, and red. Come read about trees and celebrate the many wonderful things they do for us and our animal friends.
Wednesday, October 29: Feathers, Fur and Fins Some are hairy, some are smooth, some are slimy and some have grooves. Come read all about the different types of outer coverings and “coats” that animals wear.
Tuesday, November 11: Nature Stories and Crafts-Chipmunks and Squirrels Chipmunks and squirrels are two of the most amazing animals to watch in nature. Join us as we read about these furry, fun backyard friends.
Wednesday, December 17: Nature Stories and Crafts- White as Snow Winter is a magical time when blanketed in white. Let's read about this special time when nature puts on a show.
Nature Stories and Crafts
Storytime at Ladew continues even after the gardens officially close to the public for the year.
From November through March, join us in Ladew’s Studio for a morning or afternoon of
interactive nature stories, followed by making a fun, take-home craft.
Ages: 2-6 years with an adult
Times: 10:30 – 11:15 am or 12:30 – 1:15 pm
Please note new non-member prices.
Individual Program Fee: Members $5 per child/adult pair, Non-members $15 per child/adult pair. Additional siblings only $5 each!
Includes admission to the Gardens and Nature Walk for the day. Space is limited. Advanced registration and payment is required.
FALL SERIES: Register for whole Fall Series (6 sessions) for only $20 per member child; $60 per non-member child; $20 per extra sibling.
