Wendy Cohen

Born in Baltimore, MD in 1951, Ms. Cohen grew up around the arts, did her first oil painting at age 10 and started attending Maryland Institute College of Art at age 15. She received her BFA with honors in Fibers and Eastern Philosophy from the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA. Public commissions include a Maryland One Percent for Art architectural commission for a 20’ x 30 ‘ stained glass triptych window for Forest Park High School, Baltimore MD and an 11’ painted steel and rolled aluminum kinetic sculpture titled “Flight” for the Wiley H. Bates Middle School, Annapolis, MD.

Ms. Cohen’s work has been represented by the former Baltimore Museum of Art Rental Gallery and the B.R. Kornblatt Gallery of Washington, DC and Baltimore MD. Her works are housed in the corporate collections of the Sheraton Hotels, Smith Klein Beecham Corporation and Aaton Films and private collections.

Ms. Cohen has been teaching art and conducting workshops since 1975.
