Paula Reynolds Photography

Art In Our Gardens

Amateur painter and sculptor Harvey Ladew had a keen appreciation of art in many forms — painting, traditional sculpture, and of course, the art of topiary.
Over the years, Ladew has welcomed local, national and internationally renowned artists to the Gardens to exhibit and sell their work.
These artists include Sam Robinson, Michael and Joanne Bare, Gavin Brooks, Henry Koehler, Meg Page, Matthew Harris, Mary Ann Mears, and Palden Hamilton, among others.

This year we welcome photographer
Paula Reynolds and Sculptor Walter T. Matia.

Paula Reynolds has been a Fine Art photographer for over twenty years, working in series, most notably, ocean and landscape photography. A 1976 graduate of The Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in printmaking.

The pursuit of garden and landscape photography began in 2012, on a neighboring farm in Maryland's Green Spring Valley. With a preference for early morning light, Paula began photographing mist filled fields and gentle landscapes, capturing seasonal growth and change. The photographing of private gardens for clients, over a year's time, began in 2018.

A self-taught photographer, Paula's photographs have been shown in several East Coast exhibitions, including The Art in Embassies Exhibition in Paramaribo. Her work is included in collections both public and private in the United States and Canada.
