Tickets and General Information

  • Ladew is open April 1 – October 31, 2025. Hours vary by day and season.

    Regular Hours

    • Monday: 9 AM – 4 PM

    • Tuesday: 9 AM – 4 PM

    • Twilight Tuesdays : May 13 – August: Open Tuesdays until 8 PM (9 AM – 8 PM)

    • Wednesday :Closed

    • Thursday – Friday: 9 AM – 4 PM

    • Saturday – Sunday: 9 AM – 5 PM

    Our offices are open year-round, and closed on holidays, call (410) 557-9570 with any questions.

  • The historic Manor House offers 30-minute docent-guided tours:

    • Weekdays – 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM

    • Weekends – 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM on the half-hour

  • Tickets can be purchased for guest access to Ladew Gardens for one full day. See the question above for hours per day.

    • Adults: $20

    • Seniors (62+): $14

    • Young Adults (13-18): $14

    • Children (2-12): $5

    • Children under 2: Free

    • Members: Free

    A docent-guided tour of the Manor House is $7 and is free for members. It is open to the public for free on our “come inside” days, the last Friday of each month (April - September /  11 AM - 3 PM).

  • Yes; tickets are required to enter the Gardens. Purchase tickets in advance by clicking this link, or they can be purchased same-day at our Admissions gatehouse. Except for during special events, members may use their membership cards for admission, and corporate partners and other Friends of the Gardens may book complimentary tickets and print out their tickets or saving to their phone to be shown at admissions.

    All visitors are encouraged to purchase advance tickets to expedite entry.

  • Yes, we do limit ticket sales for some events and programs based on their popularity. Generally, the limit is 6 tickets per purchase.

  • Yes, Ladew Gardens offers discounted tickets to Members only based on the tiers below. 

    General Admissions discounts are also offered to AAA members, Military and First Responder personnel, through Senior Box Office, and through Museums for All. Please show the appropriate credentials to receive your discount.


    - INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: An Individual Member may purchase 1 discounted member ticket. And 5 regularly priced tickets.
    - DUAL MEMBERSHIP: A Dual Member may purchase 2 discounted member tickets ($20 savings) plus up to 4 regularly priced tickets.
    - FAMILY, GARDEN FRIEND, CONTRIBUTOR OR  BENEFACTOR & PATRON MEMBERSHIP: Memberships at the Family, Garden Friend, Garden Contributor, Garden Benefactor and Patron level may purchase 2 discounted member tickets ($20 savings) plus up to 4 children at the Member price, or up to 4 regularly priced tickets.

  • Guest passes are for one-time use and are valid for general daily admission. They are not valid for group tours, scheduled pre-register programs, or special events, including but not limited to, Maple Magic, Garden Festival, Mother's Day, Garden Glow, or Christmas Open House.

  • Members are allowed to leave and re-enter the Gardens. General guests may not re-enter, but may return if briefly visiting their car.

  • All sales – including event tickets and daily general admission – are final. 

  • Pre-purchased tickets may be used throughout the 2025 season. Tickets are non-refundable. General admission tickets are good for a whole day but do not include special events.

    If a Ladew event is rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances and you’re unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will refund the ticket price. Please note that if you’d like to switch to another program with the same fee, we can likely transfer your ticket and accommodate your request; contact (410) 557-9570

  • Yes, you can purchase a gift card in the gift shop. If you would like to give the gift of membership! Click here to learn how. 

Members and Membership

  • No. Members have unlimited access to the gardens during our general operating hours, Twilight Tuesday, and Member Strolls. You do not need to reserve spots in advance. Simply provide your name or show your digital membership card when you arrive at Admissions.

    Please note, Members do not have unlimited or free access to special events at Ladew.

  • Ladew Membership includes a set number of guest passes to share with friends and family, depending on the level of membership. These are recorded in our system as part of your membership records. 

    Guest passes are for one-time use and are valid for general daily admission. They are not valid for group tours, scheduled pre-register programs, or special events, including but not limited to, Maple Magic, Garden Festival, Mother's Day, Garden Glow, or Christmas Open House.

    Members can purchase additional guest passes at a discounted rate of $19 when allotted guest passes run out.

  • Memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Expiration dates are always the last day of the respective month.

  • The fees associated with membership do go a long way to support the gardens, and they are partially tax deductible. That being said, they do not count as contributions to The Fund for Ladew. 

    Patron level memberships are gifts $1,500 or more annually.

Guest Experience

  • From April through October, our flowers bloom across different time periods. Early spring brings delicate tulips and daffodils. Mid-spring showcases peonies and irises, while summer reveals sunflowers and hydrangeas, and late summer to early autumn features chrysanthemums and asters.

  • Ladew Gardens is a largely outdoor experience, and most of our events are rain or shine. We will make every effort to hold outdoor events as scheduled. Cancellation of an event or performance is dependent on weather conditions, and the decision to cancel an event will be made as close to the date and time as possible.  If a Ladew event is rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will alert you via email and social media as soon as possible.

  • Yes; the magic and exploration of Ladew is suited for all ages. For the safety of children and the enjoyment of other guests, children under the age of 18 must be supervised at all times.

  • You can explore our downloadable map before you arrive, or receive a hard copy at the Admissions gatehouse.

  • Yes; the Ladew Gift Shop offers items and decorations to brighten and beautify any home, books on gardening, accessories to grow and decorate gardens, and other gifts for any occasion.

    Ladew members always receive 10% off their purchases in the Ladew Gift Shop, and all proceeds directly support our work here at Ladew.

  • Yes; Ladew has picnic tables near the parking lot which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Picnicking is also permitted on the lawn or benches throughout the gardens, except for the Hunt Scene and The Great Bowl. 

    Tables, chairs, glassware, fresh flowers, balloons, alcohol, and open flame/cooking are not permitted in the Gardens. Guests must clean up their trash and restore the space to how they found it.

  • Yes; at Ladew's cafe located on the premises as soon as you enter the property.

    The Ladew Cafe is served up by chefs Wendy & Joe Borkoski. All menu items are made from scratch, and include a variety of offerings from sandwiches, to salads, to quiches, to irresistible baked goods. There’s something for everyone on the Café menu!

  • No; pets are not permitted at Ladew unless they are registered ADA-compliant service animals. Comfort animals such as emotional support and therapy dogs do not qualify and are not allowed on the property or in the Gardens.

  • No; sports equipment of any kind is not permitted. This includes rollerblades, skateboards, nets, scooters, balls, racquets, bats, frisbees, etc. Bicycles must be locked up at the front entrance.

  • No; guests are not allowed to enter the pool in The Great Bowl, or enter any other water feature.

  • Yes; outdoor painters are welcome at Ladew with some regulations:

    • Artists may not occupy a bench in the Gardens to paint; may bring a chair or stand. 

    • Artists may not set up on hard surfaces, within flower beds, or block pathways. 

    • Artists are required to dispose of liquids properly, not dumped in the gardens.

    • Artists must have the ability to set up/tear down their equipment without assistance from Ladew staff.

  • Guests are welcome and encouraged to take photos of their visit for personal use. We love to see your photos, so be sure to tag us on social media at @LadewGardens on Instagram, and @Ladew Topiary Gardens on Facebook. The use of drones is strictly prohibited. Commercial and family photography requires permission and schedule coordination with Ladew; those who do not schedule in advance will be asked to leave and schedule with the front office at a later date.

    Commercial photography:

    • Commercial photoshoots must be scheduled in advance by contacting Barbara Barnoff at bbarnoff@ladewgardens.com, and are subject to approval and fees.

    • The use of props including confetti, balloons, and outside flowers is not permitted.

    • Outfit changes, bathing suits, lingerie, or nude photography are not allowed.

    • Commercial photography includes portfolio photography for aspiring photographers, models, students, and class projects.

    Family and portrait photography:

    • Family and portrait photoshoots captured by professional photographers must be scheduled and pre-paid a minimum of 48 hours in advance (refundable if the session is canceled).

    • Cost; $200; includes admissions for the photographer and two people. Any additional guests will need to purchase regular garden admission tickets.

    • Photography is only authorized during Ladew’s normal business hours.

    • The use of props, including confetti, balloons, and outside flowers is not permitted.

    • Outfit changes, bathing suits, lingerie, or nude photography are not allowed.

    Those participating in approved photoshoots at Ladew must be courteous to the Gardens and the other guests. We ask that guests do not touch/stand in or on the topiary or flower beds, block pathways, or water features, or interfere with the enjoyment of other guests. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

  • Yes; smoking legal and illegal substances as well as vaping are prohibited at Ladew.

  • Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, archery, etc. are not permitted at Ladew. This also includes items that look like weapons.

  • Yes! For school children tours, preschool through high school, please click here.

Accessibility

  • Yes, our Gardens are accessible to guests with mobility or physical disabilities. There are parking spaces reserved for accessible parking at the front of the parking lot near the Visitor Center. 

    The Gift Shop, The Ladew Cafe, Studio/Gallery, and restrooms are all wheelchair accessible. While some areas may present challenging terrain due to the estate’s historic nature, seating is thoughtfully placed throughout the gardens to provide rest and relaxation as you explore.

  • Ladew loans wheelchairs to patrons at no charge. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

    To reserve in advance, call 410.557.9570, x218, or inquire at the Admissions gatehouse. We hold car keys or a driver's license during use.

  • Stop by any ticketing counter in the Visitor Center to obtain a complimentary ticket for your personal care attendant.

  • Throughout the Gardens, scan the green and maroon QR codes to uncover the stories and facts behind our plants and history. Tours are multilingual and based on your phone’s language setting. We do not have translators on site.

Ladew Cafe, Food, and Drink

  • Yes; Ladew has picnic tables near the parking lot which are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Picnicking is also permitted on the lawn or benches throughout the gardens, except for the Hunt Scene and The Great Bowl.

  • The Ladew Cafe is one of the first buildings you'll see upon entry to the right. Choose to dine either in-restaurant, which is a historic, repurposed horse stable, or enjoy dining alfresco on the patio.

  • Yes. The Ladew Cafe is available only to Ladew Gardens guests.
