Gardens, Manor House and Nature Walk are OPEN on Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. (Please Note: our offices are closed for these holidays).



Purchase tickets at the Admissions Gatehouse when you arrive, or purchase tickets online anytime and use any open day for general admission until October 31, 2022.
 

Members: Please download your digital membership card to be scanned for entry, or bring your paper membership card with you to admissions on the day of your visit.


General admission tickets are not accepted for Special Events including but not limited to Garden Festival, Garden Glow, and programs that require registration and payment.

Tickets are non-refundable.


Pets are not permitted on the property, nor are there provisions to temporarily house them during a visit. Please do not leave pets in your car in the parking lot during warm weather since shade is minimal. Properly identified service animals that provide assistance for guests with  disabilities are permitted.

Admission

Gardens, Nature Walk and seasonal Butterfly House

  • Adults: $15

  • Seniors: (62+) & Students: $10

  • Children: (2-12): $4

  • Children: under 2: Free

General admission tickets are good for a whole day but do not include special events.


Additional $5 for Docent-Guided Manor House Tour (Purchased at the Gift Shop on a first come first serve basis)



House Tours
The historic Manor House offers 30-minute docent-guided tours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (10:00, 11:00, 12:00 & 1:00) and Weekends (10:00-1:30, every half hour) The cost is an additional $5. First-come, first-served tickets are sold in the Gift Shop. Free for Ladew Members. (Tickets are not sold online. Reservations are not accepted.).

 

Butterfly House
The native Butterfly House is open now through October 3. The Butterfly House is an outdoor exhibit and occasionally closes due to inclement weather. Dates and hours are subject to change. The Butterfly House is included in your general admission, however first come, first served timed tickets are required and can be picked up upon your arrival to Ladew. The tickets allow a 20-minute docent guided tour from 9:20 am - 3:20 pm Thursday through Monday, and 9:20 - 6:20 pm on Tuesdays. Beginning on September 12, tours will begin at 9:40 am and will not be open on Tuesday evenings for Twilight Tuesdays.

 

Gift Shop 
The Ladew Gift Shop is filled with treasures of all kinds! You'll find a unique selection of garden-themed items, books, statuary, and gifts.
Ladew members receive a 10% discount.

Ladew Café 
The Ladew Café is now open, featuring delicious artisan sandwiches, salads, sweets, and more — served up by Harford County's popular Eats & Sweets. Ladew members receive a 10% discount.

Directions

From the South and West Via the Baltimore Beltway
Take the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) toward Towson to Exit 27B (North).
Go North on MD Route 146 (Dulaney Valley Rd.).
After the Loch Raven reservoir Bridge, bear left onto Jarrettsville Pike (MD Rte.146).
Ladew Gardens is located on your right, 5 miles north of the stoplight in Jacksonville on MD Rte.146.

From the North or South Via I-95
Take Exit 74 to MD Route 152. Follow MD Route 152 northwest to the dead end
at MD Route 146 (Jarrettsville Pike) and go left.
Ladew Gardens is approximately 1 mile ahead on your left.

From York, Pennsylvania
Take I-83 south to Exit 36 (MD Route 439).
Follow MD Route 439 East for about 6 miles to a dead end at MD Route 23. 
Turn right on MD Route 23 for approximately 3 miles to the junction of MD Route 146 (Jarrettsville Pike).
Turn right on MD Route 146.
Ladew Gardens is 3 miles ahead on your left.
